Global Kinship 

During our sessions we aim to inspire children to care for the environment and adopt a value system which is compassionate to others but robust enough to negotiate life's challenges. Some groups have adopted wider aims and  seek also to encourage global kinship. This is something we would like to develop as we become a more established and self sustaining group.

There are two possibilities which we will discuss at our next meeting;

• experimental sessions exploring traditional crafts from developing countries using natural materials
• development of a further link with a village in Kenya which already has links with a local secondary school; we would pay for some fruit trees to be planted and would receive progress reports through a contact who has a personal connection with our group and has even attended a Forest Schools Skills Share.
